Maintenance Tip of the Month

Is your car trying to tell you something but you are not sure what it is saying? Diagnosing abnormal car sounds does not always require an open hood, just open ears. Do you hear a regular clicking that vibrates through the pedals and steering wheel? This is most likely caused by worn ball joints that transmit power from the engine to the wheels. Have the joints inspected. Does your car squeal when you rev your engine? What about when you’re A/C is on? And when you turn your steering wheel? If so, you may have a worn serpentine belt. This belt transfers engine power to different accessories. A worn belt could be a sign that one of your accessories is about to go.

Whatever the sound, stop by and see one of our factory-trained expert technicians the next time you hear something out of the ordinary.
